Knitting my way through life one day at a time....
Progess Update: Halcyon AranI've completed front and back, and a bit of the first sleeve (not shown). The photo on the right shows the blocked back vs. not-blocked front on top - quite a difference in size, cables still popping, though. I will not block the front until I finish the sleeves, so that I can measure the saddle length as I knit them. All I can say is that it has been a joy to knit this sweater!
Gorgeous! Such beautiful work. Glad it was so much fun for you to knit. I'll be looking out for the sleeves.

Absolutely beautiful, Mary Beth!! Wow -- and yes, so FAST!
Thank you so much for the blocking info the other day -- big help!

I must be missing something so please set me straight :) If I were knitting this sweater I *would* block the front first so I had the finished width before knitting the saddle. Since I'm working on St Brigid I'd love to know why you shouldn't do it that way though.
ps - as always -- gorgeous knitting!

Wow! Amazing sweater. I can't wait to see the finished product.

I'd like mine in a cinnabar red. Mariah or Rogue would be fine. Pullover or cardi, I'm not picky at all. ;-)

Does your husband request arans or do you strongly suggest them to him? I hope the next sweater you make is for yourself:)

I am in awe! My cables need to meet your cables to show them how it's done.

It has a been a joy to watch this sweater progress -- the color of the yarn really suits the pattern and the yarn shows the cables so nicely. Also, happy belated blogiversary!

I love how the ribs travel into the cables. It is beautiful. I still haven't ripped St. Brigid...tinked, I mean...one of these days.

OMG, that is just stunning. I'm cable-challenged so I'm especially impressed at not just the beauty of it, but also the amazing speed.

The cable work on your sweater is beautiful. It looks destined to be an heirloom.
