What is it about being 3 inches from completion with a project that causes me to go into slow-motion? It's when I can see the horizon that I do things like:
- Cast on and work an inch of Na Cragna
- Take a trip to Borders, just to see what's on the shelf
- Spend countless hours surfing all favorite yarn outlets, just to see what's on sale
- Go to the library and read up on some esoteric topic like twined knitting
- Start my third pair of mittens in the past month
I think I need a knitting personal trainer to get me to go the distance on this one.
I like all these new Typepad upgrades, but I must admit I feel compelled to use them, just because they're there. What's that all about?
Thank God for Spell Check, though....
I agree about the new Typepad features. If you hear any loud cussing coming out of Vermont tonight, it's because I had to rip back two rows of Rogue because I forgot to read ahead in the pattern. Putting those stitches back on without any mishaps is going to be "fun."

I do like the upgrades and won't we have fun with color!? You have aleady and I like it. I have a theory for you...seperation anxiety...you just can't finish because you will have to start something new! Ha,ha.
Now if they would just put spell check in the comment area.

Oh, I want spell check on my blog admin. No fair! Love the hoodie, just finish it already! Says the one who has a sweater for herself with one sleeve left to make!

That color is going to look GREAT on you! And Borders is never a bad choice. :)

C'mon, I know you're trying to prolong the Lana experience, BUT... if you finish, you can wear it and be wrapped up in that 1/2 wool, 1/2 alpaca, all yumminess. Wouldn't it be nice to have it to pull on as it gets colder? And the hood as it gets windy? Plus I want to see the hood in person, in action! It is looking great in the picture. 3", you can do it!!!

Ditto on the new Typepad features especially that spell check...if I can remember to use it! Can't wait to see you completed BPT! Only 3 inches to go...go...GO! :)

I agree with Lauren; you can do it! Get cracking, girl! Your BPT looks great. I can't wait to see it finished.

Margene beat me to it. (Gotta get up early to sneak one in on her!) Separation Anxiety...classic case. Or..Knitter's Finishing Phobia. Fear of Blocking. Delusional Tape Measure Reading...maybe you aren't as close to finish as you think? Speaking of which, have you noticed how when you get really close to the end, the tape measure goes all crazy and gives a different measurement each time you double-check it? Drives me batty.

My theory about the end of project slow down is that I've had such fun making the project, I don't want it to end! But so far, I haven't made anything for myself. So if I do that, maybe it will be different cause I'll have the incentive of having something of my own to wear!
