This yarn just came into the shop last Friday. It was so lovely, that I took some that day and volunteered to make up these mittens as samples. I was at a swim meet all weekend. The mitten- knitting insulated me (somewhat) from all the drama in the stands. They worked up quickly on the big needles, providing entertainment for all those around me..."that's how you make a mitten?"

The mittens are nice -- very simple looking but likely to be everyday favorite mittens. I'm more intrigued by the drama in the stands. That swim team is quite the soap opera. At least when the drama is in the stands you can ignore it or remove yourself from it, unlike when the drama is in the back seat and you're driving carpool!

Perfectly knit, as usual!

They look great! I've found that knitting is great for kids sports and keeps me more rational.

Isn't it great to have something like knitting with you at kids' sporting events to help get through the dull parts or in this case the "exciting" parts.

Goregous! New yarns are so much fun to try. When do you get to take them home??

Love them. I have a mitten kit that my brother's girlfriend gave me a couple years ago. It couples Bartlett wool with roving to make tufted mitts (or whatever you call them). I think it's now calling my name. Thanks for the inspiration!
