Darn, they don't sell them online! I have never heard of Smioth & Hawkin. It's a great bag. So much more reasonably priced than other knitting bags out there.

OH that is a nice bag! I'm a bagaholic, not purses, knitting bags. I have a bazillions. I find diaper bags work well, but I like the fact that one has a flat bottom. I may have to check it out.

That's a great bag. I agree - the flat bottom is key. And you can't beat the price. Now, if they monogram it, that would seal the deal for me :-) (Yes, I LOVE LL Bean totes. LOVE.)

Ooh, so much more reasonable than LL Bean. Must not buy. Must not buy.

My husband already thinks I am insane with my on-going search for the perfect knitting bag since I have bought so many; now this! Fortunately for him and unfortunately for me, I don't think we have that store here.

Wow, that does sound like the perfect knitting bag. I am semi in the market for a new one, so perhaps I will check this one out!

I especially love the bright green color! I have a Tommy Hilfiger diaper bag that I bring. It has many pockets on the outside and is very black and sleek. The only negative is it doesn't have pockets on the inside too.

Oh how I wish they sold them online! No store around here.

Now I gotta go see if we have one of thoose stores here! Thanks for the tip. I have discovered that carrying a sock in progress turns my Market Squares bag into a dangerous porcupine bag.

Can it be true? Does the perfect knitting bag exist? Keep us posted.

They can be ordered online through the e-catalog. It's on page 22.

What a cool, cool bag--and in the spring fashion colors to boot!

I ordered one online. Came today and I love, love, love it! Thanks for the heads up.

I was led here by a Google search for a simple triangle shawl pattern, when lo and behold, I see my knitting bag. I got mine at Gardener's Supply for $25, and it's a lovely periwinkle and lime (http://tinyurl.com/nd8au)
And you're right - it *IS* a great bag.

Hi, I just checked out your link for this bag and you can indeed get them on their website. I love this bag! I always forget to think outside the box when it comes to anything-it's clever to use a gardening bag. Incidentally, they also come in blue.
