These clogs were a quick knit, for sure! The first clog is a bit of an adventure, with all it's M1's and wrap and turns. But once you get the lay of the land, the second clog was more relaxing. There are lot's of "parts", ie, first sole, toe shaping, cuff, second sole, so you are always quickly moving on to the next thing.
The felting was a challenge. I would LOVE to hear from those experienced in felting, because it took FOR-ever, and the clogs are still a bit large - I decided to call it a night at 11pm after who knows how long they had been agitating (in a zippered case with a bit of detergent). Could it have been that the water was warm-hot and not hot? My old machine doesn't agitate aggressively enough? My water is treated and very soft? The Lamb's Pride? My gauge? Oh well, they will fit great with the socks from my previous post - can't wait for winter!
Before Felting, Hero the Beanie Baby, for scale
I will definately try these again! I think my husband would love a pair. Anyone experienced cloggers out there who can talk about adding leather soles?

Love the clogs, especially the color! I found it took a long time to felt the ones I made. I used navy Lamb's Pride as they went to a Navy person.

I love the clogs, especially the color. And one of the boys has Hero as well! Except his does not look as fresh and vibrant as yours- also he doesn't have a tag. Why is it that my boys are determined to destroy everything that dares to enter our house?
What is up next on your knitting agenda? Charlotte's Web?

My clogs wore out after two winters. I did wear them everyday. If I made another pair they would have suede souls. They might last four years that way. Also they would be less slippery on non-carpet floors.
They look great!

Your clogs are terrific! For faster felting, I throw in a pair of old (clean) jeans or a towel. It will increase the agitation for your knitted item. I've been told that other people have had trouble with bits of towel ending up in their projects, but I've never had that happen. A couple pairs of jeans (or something similar) are probably your best bet.

Show off! I loved your comments on the Clog-Along cite. This is simple knitting but management has been a real issue for me. I've re-knit Rows 2, 4, and 6 several times each. You snooze, you lose!
Ditto Steph on the extra stuff in the washer. I always put my to-be-felted pieces in a zippered pillowcase so the jeans rubbing off problem doesn't bother me.
Lovely work!

NICE! They look great! and I bet they are comfy!
Hero is one cute dude. ;)
I love how you have the clogs in front of the window with green outside. A theme. Themes are good.
Did you get the berries and cream?
