The Dreaded Boyfriend Curse
From Men In Knits, Tara Jon Manning, "I made him a sweater and he broke up with me!"
Anyone fall for this? How about twice. I made the guy a sweater for Christmas. It was over by February. Then, when we got back together two years later, I made him a quilt, for godssake! Over in a month - that time for good.
But - I remember the sweater - a Lopi, in greys and blacks, my second circular multi-color project. And dare I admit that was 20 years ago! I wonder if he still has it?

Not only did I fly in the face of danger once, but had it slap me upside the head when I tried it again. Last Valentine's Day was a gift of the first sweater. No problem, happily ever after...until I start a second sweater for him this winter. Before it's even finished, the relationship is gone. Grumble, grumble. I hate it when curses come to pass.

Well you know........... I once sewed a fleece polo pullover for a boyfriend. Long distance relationship - Germany - Canada - and gave it to him when he came for Christmas. By the time he was leaving..... with the nice pullover, I never wanted to see him again. :-)) I wonder if he kept the pullover.
